本アプリはApp Sandboxの中で動作し、ネットワーク接続の権限(com.apple.security.network.client)を要求していません。

App Store

Apple

Privacy Policy

Scope

  • The macOS app “Syutto” (the “App”)
  • This website (syutto.yamashin-app.com)

Syutto is made by an individual developer, “yamashin”. You can reach me through the contact form. The App and the website are covered separately below, because they behave differently.

The short version

The App never sends your notes anywhere. It performs no network communication at all. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking.

What “collect” means here

Following Apple's definition, “collect” means transmitting data off the device so that the developer or a third party can access it afterwards. Data that is only processed and stored on your Mac is not “collected”. Everything the App handles falls into that second category.

What the App stores

The following is stored only on your Mac, inside the App's sandbox container.

  • Notes — title, body, created and updated timestamps, pinned state, trash state
  • Drafts — a temporary copy of what you are typing, used to recover after an unexpected quit
  • Settings — accent theme, button color / icon / size / position, hotkey, window size, export format
  • Automatic backups — if enabled, exported copies of all notes (the 7 most recent)

The exact path is shown in the App's settings. This area belongs to the App alone and cannot be read by other apps. Note that deleting the App does not always remove the container: to erase everything, check the path in settings and delete that folder in Finder (files you exported yourself live elsewhere and remain).

Why it cannot communicate

The App runs inside the App Sandbox and does not request the network entitlement (com.apple.security.network.client), so it cannot reach the outside at the OS level, even in the event of a bug. No third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising or crash reporting are bundled.

App Store privacy label

The App's privacy label is “Data Not Collected”. None of Apple's data categories (Contact Info, Health & Fitness, Financial Info, Location, Sensitive Info, Contacts, User Content, Browsing History, Identifiers, Purchases, Usage Data, Diagnostics, Surroundings, Body, Other Data) are collected.

When your own actions move data out of the App

  • Export to a file (txt / md) — saved where you choose; managing it from then on is up to you. If you pick iCloud Drive or a shared folder, that service's syncing applies.
  • Copying to the clipboard — the macOS clipboard is shared and readable by other apps. With Universal Clipboard enabled, macOS itself transfers the content to your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. The App plays no part in either.
  • Manual backups — same as exporting.

Things that happen through Apple

  • Purchase and download — handled by the Mac App Store. The App never receives your purchase or payment details.
  • Review prompt — shown via Apple's standard requestReview API. macOS decides whether it appears, and any review you write goes to Apple. The App cannot read it.
  • Diagnostics and crash reports — if you have enabled sharing analytics with Apple, Apple may pass non-identifying crash reports to the developer. That is collection by Apple, not by the App, and note content is not included.

Logs

For troubleshooting, the App writes runtime logs to the standard macOS Unified Logging system. Logs stay on your Mac and are never transmitted. Note contents are not logged.

About this website

  • This site uses Google Analytics (GA4). Pages viewed, time on page, browser and device type, and approximate region are sent to Google along with cookie-based identifiers. Nothing that identifies you personally, such as your name or email address, is included, and the data is used only to improve this site. See Google's policy for details, or install the opt-out add-on to disable measurement.
  • Apart from the analytics above, there are no third-party requests. Everything needed to render the page, web fonts included, is served from this site's own server. (Google Fonts was used before, but it exposed visitors' IP addresses to Google, so it was dropped.)
  • Server access logs record IP address, timestamp, page and browser information. They are kept for 14 days and then deleted automatically, and are used only for troubleshooting and checking for abuse.
  • There are no embedded third-party widgets or video players. The link to X is an ordinary link — nothing is requested until you click it.

Contact form

  • The topic, your email address and your message are forwarded to the developer by email. They are not written to any database or file on the server.
  • The resulting email stays in the developer's mailbox while it is needed for a reply or a fix, and is deleted afterwards.
  • Submissions are handled by a program on another server I run (yamashin-core.com). No external form service is involved, so what you write never passes through a third party.
  • To prevent flooding, the submitting IP address is kept in hashed, non-reversible form in a temporary file for one hour. It is not included in the email.

Third parties

Because the App's data never leaves your device, there is nothing to share with third parties. For the website, no sharing beyond what is described above takes place. Nothing is ever sold.

Children's privacy

The App collects no personal information of any kind, including age, and is safe for users of all ages.

Your rights

Since no personal information is held, there is no stored data to disclose, correct or delete on request. Your notes live on your Mac and you can remove them at any time — empty the trash, reset data from settings, or delete the storage folder itself. For questions about the website's access logs, please contact us below.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Japan.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Material changes will also be mentioned in the App's release notes.
